About the Los Angeles community of Rhodeslis, Jews who lived on the Mediterranean island of Rhodes from 1492 to World War II. These immigrants from Rhodes settled in Los Angeles during and after World War II and passed down their traditions, food, songs, rituals, and their medieval Ladino Spanish dialect to their American-born children and grandchildren.
